Our final show as Lost Sailors is TONIGHT, Sat Dec 17, at Capn Morgans in Corning!
Thanks to all our dedicated fans in and around Corning, and we hope to see you all
there!!
A Statement from the Members of Lost Sailors
We, the members of Lost Sailors, would like our wonderful fans and friends to know
that Lost Sailors is not "breaking up"... actually, we're "falling apart". Though we won't
be playing regularly as the band you've known, the amazing musical spirit that has
defined Lost Sailors for two decades keeps on trucking on in each of us. Nothing
has changed that, nor could anything change that.
But 20 years, hundreds upon hundreds of gigs, gravity, and other various natural
forces have taken a physical toll on the members of the band. Our motto has always
been that "We'll keep playing until we drop". Funny thing though, when faced with
the possibility of literally "dropping", we reconsidered and decided that we'd like
to delay that eventuality as best we can.
All the members of Lost Sailors continue to love that which we've had the honor of
doing for the last 20 years. And we sincerely wish that we could do it for 20 more.
We're not entirely sure what the future may bring, but we suspect that it will be
hard to keep us completely down and out for the count. Whether it's an occasional
acoustic style get together at a local winery, a full-blown electric revival, or
some new project including current members of the band, we promise that the spirit
which has defined Lost Sailors for 20 years will continue.

After 20 Years, Lost Sailors Sails Off
Yep, this is it, as they say... after 20 years of playing Grateful Dead music in
Ithaca and the surrounding area, Lost Sailors is sailing into the sunset. Our
20th Anniversary is this December -- 20 years ago we played for the first time
as Lost Sailors, at The Nines in Collegetown.
